Hi I just want to ask if a person can easily tell that a game is made with Unity(UnityPro) or not? coz for some reason some developers likes using a specific engine but they dont want players or anybody to know that they are using that specific engine. And In this case is it possible to hide that you have used that engine or you really have to state that up after you have created the game?
Why are you asking about other developers? Aren’t you interested in this for your self? I personally couldn’t care if people know I use Unity Pro or not.
Anyway, you don’t have to have the splash screen in Pro, and that’s all your players will see that says Unity. If you are worried that other developers might be able to tell, well that will only look better on a resume, so don’t sweat it. If you have other reasons for hiding that you are using Unity Pro, well, they will be able to see that you have used it. I recommend not doing it.
Hmm, to make an analogy between a serial killer and having a Unity Pro license is just wrong. It is not entertainment or a clever analogy for the victims of past crimes.
As to what was actually asked: it’s likely if it’s anyone of college age or younger whose game is not starting up with the Unity logo splash screen that they are using a pirated version of Unity. It’s also somewhat likely from many adults that do earn enough to pay for Unity. It’s likely in poor countries with low income in situations where you are dealing with an individual contractor and not a large company.
Likely is no the same as certain.
???
I was referring to how the question was asked. Not making an analogy between being a serial killer and having unity pro. Since it seems to have upset you, I’ll edit it to something less nonsensical.
