Do you know if something similar to Intelli-sense (which can be found in Visual Studio) is available by somehow hooking up MonoDevelop to the api of your choice (in our case Unity-scripting)?
In my experience, such a system chops off AT LEAST 50% of the time it takes to code simply by reducing the need to browse the api-docs and even finishing writing the syntax for you.
If you go to Assests Menu and click Sync Visual Studio Project (or MonoDevelop if you´re using Unity 3 beta, I think), just open the project generated with MonoDevelop and you´ll have intelli-sense.
Hi
I was trying to find if this is addressed in one of these threads on monodevelop - i am trying it out for the first time with unity3 b7
so if i type “game…” it will complete it, but as “GameObject” - same thing if I type “transform” completely - it will convert it to “Transform” - that makes it kind of tough to use.
also if I type “Input.” or most any class followed by a dot, it just pops up “no suggestions”.
I unfortunately ended up turning intelli-sense off because it caused me too much trouble guessing the wrong words and capitalizing words such as transform etc.
