Hi,
Were developing a game using the unity webplayer. And we run into a strange issue. Selecting fullscreen on internet explorer 8 results in the webplayer to halt. No fullscreen.
I try IE6,7…works fine. Firefox → fine. Chrome works fine …just internet explorer 8.
Then I went on to other unity games that allow fullscreen…and they show the same problem.
My question is…is this a bug? If so…is there a work around?
Thanks for any enlightenment,
Rudolf
Funny thing…if I change the zoom level of the site (from 100% to 75% for instance…) the webplayer continues in browser.
Hope this may help.
Kind regards,
-Rudolf
Its a known behavior but I’m not sure if it is a bug (in unity) or an enforced thing from IE8 to ensure that you can’t “take over control of the desktop”. IE8 changed a few things on the security end
I tested some more, IE8 under XP doesnt show this behaviour.
Fullscreen does work in the webplayer in IE8 under XP. It doesnt work under IE8 and Vista/Windows 7.
I still find it odd that when I change the zoom level there, the player continues. Does that possibly reset the directx object?
Kind regards,
-Rudolf
