Introducing new arcade website

Hello this post is to announce the unveiling of a new arcade website http://www.hackabuddy.tk .Those who have a game they want to show the whole world PLEASE upload it to here. Please help this site gain popularity by recommending it to other developers or gamers.
Thanks in advance

Ah, it has no games on it… This is a bad thing for a game portal.

They should post on some game dev forums or something…

Eek. Well… I’m having a bit of a morning, so I’ll be the guy to pass along the harsh news.

You’ve got a lot of work to do before this thing becomes what you seem to want it to be. While exposure is difficult for new developers, your site offers them nothing. Including, ya’ know… an audience. I get that you need to start somewhere, but…

Add to that the sloppiness / amateurish quality of the site, and it doesn’t instill confidence that it’ll ever be a worthwhile place to showcase their game. You pretty much have all the tropes of a bad site: unappealing logo thrown onto a bland template (and a broken one, at that… your search box is hanging outside its container) that isn’t responsive. Your submission form is incomplete (the genre dropdown has no options) and if you can only submit games in SWF, DCR, or Unity3D format, this should be indicated before I bothered creating an account, I’d think.

Your ABOUT US page (all caps) just has the same message as your home page. Your Privacy Policy and ToC pages are empty, two things I would think are important for people sharing their content with you.

Clean things up a bit and post back. And maybe come up with some reasons as to why people should have their games hosted by your site, too.

On top of that, .tk domain. Ew.

You should atleast invest in a better domain name, .tk domains have a pretty bad reputation. :stuck_out_tongue:

Also “hackabuddy”? It doesn’t say what it is, and frankly sounds kinda shady.

True, i didn’t click on the link until I’d seen others had.

And I, foolishly, didn’t even read the URL until after clicking it. And even then, just saw “trash name” instead of the actual, scarier implication of the name. :frowning:

How bout
NO!
