IOS Collision Detection with Unity 5.6

Hi all. I’ve just switched to Unity 5.6.

A game I had built using the previous Unity version has shown up some problems since I built it in 5.6 and have deployed to IOS. Collisions are not being detected for some reason. It functioned before, though performance wasn’t as good as on Android.

My project is a simple 2d game.

So I’m wondering if anybody might have any suggestions regarding collisions in IOS or any issues with the latest Unity build.

Regards,
Hugh.

I’m also having this issue, on Android builds as well.

I had no problems with a build I did 2 weeks ago using build engine (5.5.2f1). Now, I just pushed the same files again using build engine (5.6.0f3) and collisions are not working in mobile builds (but they work fine in editor).

These are builds from the Unity Cloud Build service.

These functions are not triggering:

void OnTriggerExit2D(Collider2D coll) { … }
void OnCollisionEnter2D(Collision2D coll) { … }

Seems like a bug.

I think this has something to do with the collision size, I increased mine from 0.01 to 1.0, and the collisions started happening again.

It seems like Box Collider 2D was the problem in the Unity 5.6 editor / build engine, when it’s size was set to (0.01, 0.01).

If you change to Circle Collider 2D you can set the radius to 0.01 with no problem, or you can increase the size of the Box Collider 2D.
