iOS game 'Fenced In' just been released.

Hello everybody in Unity world,

I just wanted share with you all that my iOS game ‘Fenced In’ has been released on the App Store.

https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/fenced-in/id557675350?mt=8

This game has taken us too many years to make, but now it’s finished I’m truly proud of what we’ve achieved (it was made with a team of only two!).

A great website we enjoyed using was:

Which sell royalty feel music. They have a great selection and as they allow you to download a low quality version of the music which is great for test driving your music.

We approached a few of the ‘big boys’ in mobile game publishing to see if they would be interested in publishing our efforts. Although we had some very promising and positive feedback, they would only consider our game if we implemented in app purchases. We felt that this would feel very ‘crow-barred’ in and in an effort to preserve an honest and open approach, decided to go it alone.

If you have a spare moment (and even a spare 69p to spend on an honest game), please have a look.

Thanks for your time.

Matt

Thanks for your comments.

We made this game with a team of just 2!, myself (artist) and my friend Martin (programmer). It is the great thing about Unity that it empowers a small team to produce some impressive work. At the start fenced in was a 2d game using a different engine, this turned out not be be up to the job. Then we tried one if the larger engines, but this turned out to be too complicated (massive amount if features). Unity seamed to gave been made exactly for our needs.

In total it took about 2 years to make this game, which might seem a long time but we both had other commitments.

Proteinbeer - Never keep kids in a cage, they taste a lot better fresh

The animal animation was deliberately comical (did you see the chickens run!!)

We found the same thing. What are you using for the UI? NGUI? How did you get all of that running on the older iphones?
