[iOS] IsReady == false when built in Archive mode

Hi,

  • Unity 5.6.0 ß4
  • iOS 10.2.1

When I run my Ad enabled game directly from XCode on my iPad plugged into my Mac, ads are shown ( Advertisement.isInitialized == true and Advertisement.IsReady(…) == true), but if I build an app for sharing with my team (I use Fabric) it suddenly stops working (Advertisement.isInitialized == true BUT Advertisement.IsReady(…) == false). It used to work ok a while ago and I don’t know since when it stopped neither what could go wrong. Could it be some kind of checking in Unity code that could prevent test Ads from showing in apps built for distribution ? How can I know it will work once the app is reaching the stores ?

Thanks for helping.

Hi,

It takes some time for Ads to initialise (maybe you were using test ads before). I recommend writing a coroutine where you wait for Advertisement.IsReady() to be true and only then show the ad.

Example snippets can be found here: Unity developer integration guides

Let me know if this helps.
