iOS MFi and touch problem

I’m using the new gui and it works well with the touch screen and if I check the standalone input module “Allow Activation on Mobile” I can use an MFi controller with the various axes and buttons. The problem is I can’t use both. If I make a build with standalone activation on mobile checked then the controller will work but touch only works 1/50 times I touch the button.

Has anyone else gotten touch input and standalone input on mobile working at the same time?

check out the InControl asset on the Asset Store, it handles all kinds of combined controls, including MFI Controllers, touch, buttons, swipes, track pad, joypad, wii motes, Xbox controllers etc - and it looks like it can handle combinations (they have a YouTube channel with some videos on using each type of input.
