Hi, I know that the ipods/iphones arent well suited to using OnGUI but is it also advisable to stay away from it on the ipad or can the ipad handle OnGUI much better this time? 
it has a faster cpu and can thus take more drawcalls. But at the same time, alpha and blending in general is much more dangerous so the answer is yes and no, if you know what you do, definitely though
