iPhone 1.1 Beta

Who do we contact to get on the list for the 1.1 beta? Is there a specific email? Sorry if this has been asked before.

Just a public nod that I am a solid point of contact. To help expedite things, if you do contact me then please send a PM with the following information:

  • A brief description of your experience level with Unity/Unity iPhone. We’re looking for folks of all abilities/experience levels so be honest. :slight_smile:

  • A list of any games you have published on the web, desktop or AppStore (or any full-playable content you’ve posted here, on your blog, etc.).

  • What license combo you own.

  • Let me know what email address you’d like to use as part of the beta program.

Keep in mind that we cannot take on all comers, we have to keep the program at a manageable size. But with your information I’ll coordinate with the beta programs team to see about getting you on board. :slight_smile:

You and a gazillion other people all decided to bombard me while at the same time I’m going through Summer of Code Candidates. Toss in the weekend and it’s Monday with me needing to get to many replies… :stuck_out_tongue:

I assumed it might be an obvious thing to do but can you folks please include what your real name is as well please? I figured those that don’t list it as part of their profile might assume they ought to include it but that hasn’t happened… :stuck_out_tongue:

As with all updates the goal is that things “just work” and that will be the case here as well (and you might find that it “just works (faster)”! :slight_smile:

arghh - i’m sitting on needles here waiting for it to get released - can you give us some update on the date please ? even if it’s only a vague one ?

i would submit my app built with the beta (cause i get a jump from 21FPS to 29FPS), if my version would’nt generate a SIGBUS when pressing HOME…

Everyone and their brother is on the Unity iPhone beta list it seems :wink:

RC1 is very close and after that it should be a matter of weeks unless something goes horribly wrong :roll:

Very disappointed about the estimated weeks and the fact that the beta is full, please release a public beta that we at least can try it on our own risk.

Having said that, I fully support the team, keep up the good work I really appreciate all the effort and I’m sure the wait will be worth it.

Weeks is a pretty long estimate from a release candidate onwards for a product like Unity iPhone.
But I guess the time is needed.

I still applaud Unity for being as open as they can about release dates.
