iPhone Development Question

Now I am 99% sure I know the answer to this question but I have to ask this question just to make sure. With the release of Unity 2.5, iPhone Development is still only for the Mac, Correct? I am assuming this is true because I assume you guys use the iPhone SDK for iPhone development and I have been told that the iPhone SDK only works on Mac (which makes sense) but I never know if you guys found a way around that or something.

Moved to iPhone Development…

Yes, it’s all true… Unity iPhone will stay on the Mac for the foreseeable future.

And remember, Unity and Unity iPhone are separate applications. We’re currently shipping Unity v2.1 and Unity iPhone v1.0.1, the coming Unity 2.5 release features no updates nor changes to our iPhone support. We’ll be releasing a separate iPhone related update after the Unity 2.5 launch.

Lets say I created a arcade style game like Geometry Wars for the PC/Mac with Unity 2.x, Would I be able to easily port that to the iPhone or would I have to rewrite all my scripts and stuff?

You can port it over to the iPhone with relative ease. The actual difficulty level will depend on your precise content, the art assets used, etc., but you will be able to transfer over a fair chunk of code and be able to modify your project to work as opposed to starting from zero again.
