iPhone Development/Test Question

Do I have to have iOS Developer Program from Apple before I'm even allowed to Test/Simulate my Unity App?

I'm interested in testing my app first before I enroll into the program.

So is it a must for me to be in the program prior playing with Unity3d and Iphone?

I would like to simulate my app in Unity3d but currently, when i try to load up the application, all i get is the Unity3d Splash Screen then I'm kicked back out to the apps pages.

Thanks for your advice.

It might be possible for you to download the unity remote app on the itunes app store and then test it that way. I am unsure if you need the full version to use this app with unity. If you can get this app, then you can test your touch inputs on your iphone. However, you will not be able to download your app onto your iphone until you buy the dev kit or jailbreak your iphone to allow you to run unsigned software on it.

If you have already been able to download it onto your iphone, then your problem is more complicated. In order to fix your problem, I had to reinstall unity. Also are you getting any errors in Xcode when it quits out? You could google those to solve them too.

Make sure that you are building your app in unity under the simulator setting under build settings. I have never tried to create an app for the xcode simulator so I can't say for sure if this is the problem. Do you get any errors when building in xcode or does it compile and execute fine? If this is the case then it might be that you do not have the right certificates or everything is not setup right with keychain and your provisioning profile.
