I used iphone 1.6 and expired.
I would like to buy a license of 1.7.
When I visit http://unity3d.com/unity/download/#iphone,
there are iphone vs iphone pro
But, http://unity3d.com/unity/download/#iphone
does it iphone or iphone pro?
And, it requires have installed the paid version of the iPhone SDK. I have xcode and work with iphone 1.6, is it sufficient?
Finally, how can I uninstall iphone 1.6 totally? and so I can install iphone 1.7
Or, how can I upgrade it?
the download is both versions. but what you can use depends on your license.
by default you have an iphone basic (or by 3.x then just iPhone) trial which runs, when I remember right, for 30 days. After that you must buy the Addon
Having just the SDK installed will not get you much out of unity because unity does not run on the simulator. it only runs on the actual device and getting it there requires that you are a registered iphone developer ($99/year for individuals).
To install Unity iPhone 1.7 just download and install it, it will by default overwrite / upgrade 1.6
Is unity basic free?
I deleted the unity iphone 1.6 from Applications
Then, the renew pop-up dialog box appears when I open unity basic (Not unity iphone)
So, how should I fix it now?
- unity basic cannot be open now
- can I install iphone 1.7 now? do I buy license before install it?
There is no free license for anything but the desktop side.
All other platforms are pay for addon licenses, this is including Unity iPhone Basic ($399)
If I buy Unity iPhone base and then I upgrade to Pro version, will I have to pay the entire price or only the difference between the two versions?
You only pay the difference if you upgrade from from a paid (non trial version).
Uh that’s good, so I’ll buy the iPhone base version and when I can I’ll upgrade.
Thanks
