Iron Gear

Hey, everyone! I’m happy to announce our first game from Retrospekt Games: Iron Gear.

Iron Gear is an action puzzle platformer built on top of a color changing mechanic and a tiered combat system. CL8-TON, a steam-powered robot, is tasked with protecting Steam City, but when a rogue steam bot starts wreaking havoc it is up to CL8-TON to use every ability in his arsenal to stop it.

To be released late 2016 for PC, Mac and Xbox One.

Here is a gameplay trailer and a link to the demo. Please visit us on Facebook and support our Kickstarter campaign. Thank you and enjoy!

Looks good, cool concept.

Some things I noticed:
The players legs are way to stiff, makes it look not humanoid at all.
Also the environment seemed very dark, and not lit at all, maybe add some lighting?
The players feet also seemed to be going through the floor, not sure if u want that :stuck_out_tongue:

That being said, great job, the art is quite nice, and the gameplay looks quite fun, keep it up.

Thanks! Yeah, I noticed the feet on the floor. There is a rug on the floor without a collider on it. It’s set in a midnight museum but I entirely agree with you that lighting needs work regardless what time of day. Thanks for your feedback!

Agree with Raven - this does look pretty nice. The unrealistic motion of the character is due to stiff legs and an unnatural flat root motion. Even robots have up/down motion in there gait. Improve the walk/run animation of the robot and the other improvements Raven mentioned and it will improve the visuals considerably.

Nice work so far.
