Irreverent Software™ is online too!

This game is no longer available, sorry.

It seems that the title is not too attractive, cause nobody has entered in 12 hours :(. Well, let’s wait. Meanwhile, I will post here the live-demo link for the ocean shader. It is online now, to try it.

Another bump, but a valid one. This is to show you another trailer, that offers more gameplay :

This offers a better idea about the variety on the level design for this game.

Hope you like it!

Your shader supports reflection yet it was written with a free Unity license? Is there something I have misinformed about? I’ll check it out regardless, thanks for the resources, are these free to use in a project, do we need to donate for that right… just don’t want to get sued.

Good looking project,
Bennet

Ok, let me answer those questions :

1.-Yes, it was written and works as you can see it, in Unity Free. I can not afford Pro right now. The shader uses fake reflections (aka cubemaps) but for the ocean shader, the cubemap is slightly modified.
2.-No, you don’t need to donate in order to use the resources. We have a custom license, very similar to the creative commons one. I will resume it to you :
As long as you give us credit, as it is specified with the files (on the Credits.txt file included with every download), you can use the resources, and even modify them (except the shaders source code). It doesn’t matters if you are using them on a commercial project or not. But please, don’t redistribute them. Instead, link to our website.

I hope that you will find them useful. And don’t worry, you can ask as many questions as you want, and I will try to respond as soon as I can.

PD : Our EULA seems long and a little confusing, but it is because is based on other licenses. We only care about the credits part, and the no redistribution part. And I am not an evil lawyer ready to hunt you and sue you, so you can use them without worries .

Thanks for your response and I’m always happy to credit anyone who contributed in any way.

Now I have some great news : our game has been approved, and is now on indiedb. The links are on the first post

Here you have a sneak peek of our next shader, the skin shader :

Which will be available for free on our website very soon. I’m currently testing and optimizing it, so stay tuned.
