Is 1024 skybox ok for VR

I’m thinking of buying this skybox

Is 1024 enough for VR? (Rift/Vive).

It’s fine, for real-estate I use pre-rendered images made at 2048 resolution for future upgrade purpose, but I use them at 1024 anyway. If the skybox images are generated from an equirectangular, then you’ll see that on top/bottom the images are a bit unsharp. However if the skybox is generated from something that was rendered as cubestrip / cubefaces, then it’s just fine.

The optimal resolution for example GearVR is 1535 or something as the manual will tell you. But well, as background no one will notice. When you add a lot of props and need some little detail to be seen, higher would be nicer.

Cool to hear, I’ll buy and test 16 USD is not terrible to lose but good to ask first
