Just wondering if anyone else is getting an error message when they click on an asset.
I’ve been getting errors all day today clicking an asset as well
Error message reads
"Unexpected error
an unexpected error occoured, we are terribly sorry for the inconvienence.
The asset store development team has been notified and will investigate this issue further …"
etc etc
Cant download the asset and can’t use the assets I’ve already downloaded. There is nothing displayed. I Have to manually open the unity package file via windows explorer.
I’m getting the same message.
Does anyone know any alternate locations to download Bootcamp?
o.O Strange… just fired up the laptop and ran unity 4 and the asset store is working on the laptop but not my desktop. Also tried shutting down unity and creating a new project from scratch but asset store still not working on my desktop. Only difference is that I’m running win 7 on the laptop and win8pro on the desktop. Also tried rebooting the desktop but to no avail.
it’s been working fine for me until today. QQ
I failed to take notice of a javascript error that the unity asset store uses.
Seems this is the source of my problem. I have been looking around for some way to clear the unity asset store cache and have the asset store download a fresh copy to see if that would help but i am unable to find any information if the asset store even uses a cache or where that cache would be located.
Solved the problem! it has to do with the asset store tools. If you have it installed on one of your projects. (it does not even have to be installed in the project you are working on to affect the asset store.)
Click “Asset store tools-> package manager” and login thru there. it fixed my asset store problems and every thing works as intended now. This is most likely a conflict bug.
