Is it Apple “OK” to use a device ID to create a cross-platform high score board?

Has anyone else had any experience of this, does it pass the apple reviewers or is it something that will get my game rejected?

Note it’s the device ID, not the player ID I’ll e using here , not using gamecenter yet.

Using UDID is deprecated by apple since iOS5 and they don’t want developers to use it any more:
