Is it necessary to add a rigidbody to a mesh that will be animated for visuals only?

I need to animate some the visual side of my level into place. These gameobjects do not affect the gameplay nor require any collision. Is it ok to animate it without a collider and a rigidbody?

If you want some gravity on it you will need a rigidbody but if you only want to change its transform properties you won’t need one.
