Is it normal for Game Center to "act up" at release?

Hello,

I released my game last night, (Poppin' Teddy [FREE] iOS/Android! - Community Showcases - Unity Discussions if anyone is interested) but I am having some serious problem with Game Center. At first, it only tried to connect to sandbox game center, and then it connected to the “normal” gamecenter without any leaderboard, and now, it is either

  • Logs players in, even gives a list of leaderboards, but when a player tried to view a leaderboard, it says that it can’t connect.
  • It connects, but it just says “No Score”
  • It connects, but you can only see your own score, and it gets deleted eventually, resulting in option 2

This is in about 20 different devices. Some of my friends even brought their phone to my house to show me the problem, and this whole thing is very strange.

Given that the problem did progressively get better, I am hoping that this is due to apple’s server maintenance or this is a common issue.

Can someone help me out here please? I’ve pretty much exhausted all of my resources at this point. :‘’‘’(

There’s something wrong with Game Center lately.
It took about 5 days and some complaining on the Apple Developer Forums for my two games (released October 27) to correctly display the game center leaderboards and achievements.
Before that it showed nothing, as leaderboards and achievements didn’t exist.
Now they appear ok, but often scores are “lost” after a few hours. With that I mean that they seems to be posting ok at first, but after a while they get deleted. Not always, because I can see some other player’s scores, and even one of mine.
Very frustrating, but I think it’s an Apple issue.

Ah, yeah, I forgot to reply to this post to say that it has been resolved.

Basically, after 2 days of waiting, the problem got solved on its own, and then apple emailed me saying that “everything should be good now.”

Still, thank you.
