Is it possible to run a 3D-based course developed using Unity offline by providing it as a downloadable version?

Also, can Unity content be embedded into Sharable Content Objects (SCOs)?

What are they downloading? Is the intent that the students don’t have to visit the Unity3D site to get a copy of Unity – they get it from the course website? Me, I’d rather students get everything the “real” way. As a student, I always hated getting some course software and not knowing if it was a real thing I could use later. And Unity3D from here is an easy download.

For “lessons,” distributing a scene as a package works great. And you can create, upload, download those anywhere, never having to interact with the Unity site. Then just “everyone download and install the hw3 package.”
