Is monetization without being registered as a company legal?

Hello and sorry if my question is irrelevant. Lately, I have been creating an app with unity, and have found the process really fascinating. Right now, I’m about to launch it. However, I’ve been wondering if monetizing my app through the untiy adds feature is legal, or whether I should register as a company in order to legally earn money. I’m really confused, as well as concered, with legal issues, such as the above. Thus, a reply on whether monetizing my app is considered a transaction that I should be a member of a company to complete would come in really helpful.

Thanks in advance for your time!!

Well, it depends based on where you’re living and how harsh are the market laws in there.

I’d suggest you to consult a specialist if you’re really concerned, but here is my example:

In Spain you need to be legally registered a company or a freelance to receive money from any kind of job (and pay your taxes as a company or a freelance), except if you don’t earn more than a fixed annual amount and other special requirements. This is to prove you’re not working long-term for that money as that amount is not enough to maintain yourself.

Hope this helps!

Yes, it’s totally legal, you are called indie developer.
