Hi there!! ^^
I’m starting on Unity and i have already done some very basic couples of stuff by my own! :3 But sometimes during development and even now i have wanted a very specific help on certain kinds of matter but i am getting a little sick of the Internet communities (Yes, Including Unity answers) … You just can’t ask anything without someone getting mad ![]()
So, i thought to myself, What if i pay someone to help me when i need so? And i am willing to! But before taking the option i wanted to know about this Premium Support? Has anyone get into that? =)
How does it work? I mean, if i am stuck at any kind of matter, is there truly a professional willing to help you and guide you until you get it? No matter what?!
Also, how much does it cost? o.O
Note: I honestly couldn’t care less what you think of this system or if you don’t like to see people wasting his money to learn something that you can learn by yourself! No off-topic pls!! (One of the main reasons i’m willing to pay for this … assertiveness is something that Internet people doesn’t seem to know of his existence)
Sounds like a question for @Graham-Dunnett as I believe he’s the one who administrates this, but I’m fairly confident that it is considerably cheaper to find yourself a tutor outside of Unity’s technical experts.
If no one can give you a number on the forums, you could try contacting sales as the Premium Support page suggests.
For anybody who still doesn’t know the price, it’s $15 a month, you can try it out for free for a month, and if you cancel it, your subscription will end with your last monthly payment
How much support do you get for your $15?
If they can solve issues I can’t, or even just speed things up, then $15 is a steal…
I don’t think it’s just $15/month. Maybe VGD_Adam is thinking of Learn Premium, which gives access to paywalled tutorials and live video presentations. With Premium Support, on the other hand, you can choose different packages at different price points. Each package gives you a maximum number of concurrent support tickets and a maximum number of hours that support engineers will spend on your tickets each month. Premium Support doesn’t cover code reviews, optimization, or stability problems. You have to contact them for pricing, which makes me think it’s probably substantially more than $15/month, but that’s just speculation.
On a related note, Unity Connect now has something called Unity Live Help. It looks kind of like Fiverr for Unity. You can pay independent providers (not Unity employees) a per-minute rate to get help. The minimum is $1/minute ($60/hour USD), with some people charging upwards of $300/hour.
I’m neither endorsing nor recommending either of these, just dropping some info as I see it on Unity’s site.
