Crikey. When that thing comes out all the people who have complained will suddenly be in love with Unity again, yay.

Finally I knew not buying NGUI would eventually pay off!

Here’s some context: http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/223311-NGUI-developer-leaves-Unity-New-GUI/page5?p=1494836&viewfull=1#post1494836

Awesome times ahead

Nah, they will instantly start complaining why the new gui doesn’t have x feature.

I hope close is closer than I think.

WHAT?! NO “x” FEATURE??? That’s only half the problem! Unity doesn’t support the new 128bit processors or the PhysVOK Uber physics library! We need uber garbage collectors STAT!

People, our world is crumbling. It’s the end of Unity as we know it. Completely unusable. May as well go back to hand coding in Assembler. And TheNewGUI Isn’t… Even… Out… Yet.

 That is more in line with how I expect the naysayers to continue responding.

Thanks for the update, I started to think that that site is dead, too

Dammit… he has changed the wording… will have to reflect that…

That will the language police.

Hype hype hype!!!

bump

It needs to say “Kinda”

What?! The changed some of the words to a star?! Where’s the emotion?

Updated

…who will open istheDirectorOutYet.com ?

Any ETA for official (non beta) 4.6 ?

I can’t tell if you’re actually making fun of the fact that Unity fully doesn’t support 64bit processors, uses the 2008 version of PhysX, and has an ancient and game-unfriendly garbage collector.

As for “X”. Well, the new system does not support Windows. *

New system looks good, some improvements over earlier videos, looking forward to benchmark numbers, especially on mobile.

  • wacky Windows like those created with GUI.Window that is.

I was just being goofy and mocking naysayers, not Unity. At the time of writing, there was some crazy complaints where people were complaining that Unity wasn’t doing… well… everything or anything. Sometimes humor doesn’t translate online or across countries very well.
