Like the title says. Unreal has a native implementation for midi and would be awesome if Unity had a first party solution.
Is this even in the talks?
Thanks!

Native, not that I am aware of. The most complete MIDI support on the Asset Store that I know of is Maestro.
What features are you looking for? Device input, device output, synthesis, sequencing?
Hi there
I want to plug in my midi keyboard and be recognized so I can play notes depending on which key I am pressing. So basically a very basic noise maker per se
Also the ability to create a game like guitar hero where I can plug a midi device and follow the notes on the screen and get feedback whether those notes were triggered on the midi device.
Thanks
I remember I contacted the developer and he said there isnt ios support, which is a reason why i didnt try Maestro.
No. And with Unity reimplementing audio and being years away from replicating the existing feature set, I think “niche” features like that are even more years away if they are ever going to be considered at all.
“Sad but true”
