Is there a way to assign None to a texture during run time?

I'm changing the main texture on a generic material during run time. Sometimes I need to use the material with no texture, or None as it shows in the inspector.

Is there a way to assign None to the mainTexture?

I know I can make a white texture to substitute, but it seems like a workaraound.

Have you tried setting it to `null`?

renderer.material.mainTexture = null;
