Is there a way to set up OS audio ducking for when you're working on audio?

So when you’re working on audio - it’s annoying as hell to have to constantly have to mute your music in order to hear sound fx or clips.

Is there a better way to handle this kind of thing automatically? Can you set up some kind of audio ducking for say chrome - where all other sources take priority?

It makes no sense that you paly external music, when you work with sound clips.
You should stop music.

It is like trying watch a video, when working on the 2d picture, 3d model, or painting.

I don’t see a way, to reliably turn down the music, at the same time when audio clip start playing, to not bring confusion.

But perhaps there is some third party app, which can prioritise, which sound channel should be played on OS.

Erm. I just want auto ducking for the music man. Most of the time I only play a clip like a half dozen times over 30s then want music again.

It absolutely does make sense. :stuck_out_tongue:

I would expect that to be possible with OBS, but I don’t know for sure. Might be a hassle to override the system audio so that you only hear the OBS mix. Maybe with USB headphones that register as a second soundcard?
