Is there a working racing tutorial?

Hey all,

I am wanting to dabble in messing with a couple of my car models that I have been making, however I am not a scripter :wink: So I was wondering is there a WORKING car tutorial that works with 2.02? I use Maya as my model / animation package of choice. Dunno if saying that helps :wink: However with that said, can anyone post me a link, this would be a great help…

I did a search and found one tutorial, however it did not work in 2.02 when I built and ran it.

Which tutorial did you try? I just tried the old racing demo that came with 1.6x and although it spit out some errors initially (which often happens when importing 1.x projects into 2.x) it worked fine. There’s also Yoggy’s demo which is on his website, which also worked fine in 2.x.

I tried the old one and that just failed to run, I will try it again as it very well could be user error lol, us artsy guys are USLESS when it comes to scripts and code related stuff hahaha

I also tried yoggy’s and the only issue I have is, I do not use blender :frowning: So I could not see how it all came together. IE the setup in maya e.t.c

Weird that it’s working for me but not you.

… and I don’t have Maya so I had the same problem with the original race demo! :wink: At least you can get Blender for a bit less than it would cost me to get Maya! :wink:
