Is there an easy way to disable realtime GI lighting?

I’m losing close 1ms on input lighting, despite my game being 2D orthographic with 0 lighting setup. Is there a good way to resolve this?

Thx!

Hey. Which version of you Unity are you on? And how you determining this number, with the built-in profiler?

Yeah exactly! Profiler is showing that loss.

Are you seeing this in the main CPU section, or in the global illumination section of the profiler? And which version of Unity is this?

Main CPU
2020.1.15.f1

This has been a bug for as many years as I can remember.

Hey again. Some more questions:

  • Are you using builtin pipeline, URP, or HDRP?
  • Have you disabled the “Realtime Global Illumination” checkbox in each of your scenes lighting settings (see screenshot)? The menu is in Window > Rendering > Lighting
  • If so, and you still see Enlighten taking significant time in the profiler CPU view, could you take a screenshot of the exact callstack you are seeing?

It isn’t possible to “fully” disable Enlighten, but it also shouldn’t be taking 1ms unless it is actually enabled.
