Is there much overhead having two terrains?

I created my original terrain, an island. I realized after I placed all my assets, sculpted the island and what not that i had made it a bit too small. Essentually, I would like the terrain that’s under the water to extend out much further away from the island itself.

Is it much of a performance hit to add a second terrain that sits under my island and under the water? One that I can scale out much larger?

Thanks!

I’ve done this in several scenes, and the performance wasn’t too bad. Be sure to tune the parameters down as much as you can. I’ve also used multiple terrains together to hide “caverns” without issue, fwiw.

Ok, the secondary terrain really is only necessary so that I can extend out the Aquas water larger.
