I know there is experimental player support for wayland, but I’m specifically talking about editor support.
There’s an nvidia gpu bug right now, that relates to xwayland windows - and it’s really painful to use Unity while it’s happening. I have to completely switch to x11 for unity, which is annoying.
It’s planed, Unity devs said so, but not until Ubuntu LTS defaults to Wayland. And even after that I wouldn’t hold my breath because Wayland development and adoption is super slow and Nvidia and Gnome are pooping over everything. You’re better of staying on X11 for the time being.
I also would like to see this as the Unity Editor using X11 on a Fedora KDE looks terrible. Some things like button text/content just shows what looks like a variable or property name.
For example, if I inspect a prefab, where the object name is above the Transform block in the inspector, the button to checkout the object literally says CheckoutButton.
