Is This Game Idea Plausible?

Hello, I’m completely new to unity and coding in general. I see a lot of potential in this engine, and I believe it’ll be a good place for me to start. Obviously anything is possible, but with no coding experience, is my game idea plausible or reasonable? Here is my idea for the game.

Main Game Concept
I’ve always been interested with mafias, and in this game, you’ll take up a real mafia style life. The game would be first person and online only, consisting of 150 slot servers. You select either a male or female character, a name, and then whatever happens is up to you. You basically roleplay the life of a mobster. Everyone would have the ability to create factions, take over territory, build, and gain resources. The point of the game is to become a dominating mafia family. NPCs will sell ammo, guns, and all resources vital to expansion.

My Personal Experience
This is just a general idea I have, and I don’t want to go into more details unless I know my current ideas are plausible. Would I be able to take on my project after reading some books such as Will Goldstone’s Game Development Essentials book? I know I’m very inexperienced; I’ve never really been interested in coding until now, and I’m not really interested in any type of web development. I’m not really the most artistic person. My drawing skills are absolutely terrible!

Alright, cool, so we have confirmed it’s possible. Now I need to create a starting point. Do you think this book by Will Goldstone is a good place to start? Unity Game Development Essentials: Build Fully Functional, Professional 3d Games With Realistic Environments, Sound, Dynamic Effects, and More!: Goldstone, Will: 9781847198181: Amazon.com: Books

That or any number of other books, video tutorials, etc…

This thread is very common so instead of people repeating themselves I’m going to close this one down and suggest that you do a few searches on this forum for similar “getting started” threads. Browse the Teaching section, do a few searches on YouTube for tutorials, and you’ll end up with more than enough learning material to last you months if not years.
