Hi, abit of a newbie question but i watched a video on youtube, unity 4 vs 5, i want to use 5 but on there download area theres 5x downloads or 2019x downloads so im a little confused, do i download unity 5.6.7 or do i download 2019.1.8f1?
Unity 2017 is theoretically Unity 6, then Unity 2018 is Unity 7 and 2019 is Unity 8.
That is if they had kept their old naming scheme.
So Unity 5 is very old, i would say go with 2018.4 or 2019.1 (any release labled with an ‘f’ will do).

They changed their versioning scheme after Unity 5.
Newer versions now use the <release year>-<major>-<minor>-<patch> versioning scheme.

Download the latest 2018.4 if you want max stability, or download the latest 2019.1 if you want latest/greatest. If you’re running tutorials, it is best to download the exact version the tutorial was written for. You can have multiple versions of Unity installed at the same time.
