Unity pro is $1500 or $75 a month for an indefinite amount of time.
The main features I see are video playback, optimization tools, custom splash screen, high end shadows and reflective water.
Is it really worth it? Does unity pro really make games better, or easier to make?
Do I need it to make my game look like a AAA game?
You missed some: Real-time tools for 3D, AR, and VR development | Products Whether it’s worth is up to you. You can’t make your game look like an AAA game without a large team, though…that’s what AAA means. If you’re actually just asking whether you can make something look good without Pro, yes, a large part of that is just good art.

1500 is incredibly cheap for having 400 staff or so looking after you and doing software for you.
