Is Visual Studio meant to install automatically with Unity 2021?

Hi,
My students have installed Unity 2021. It seems that with 2/3 students Visual Studio has automatically installed with it and 1/3 haven’t got it. It doesn’t seem to matter what the operating system is. Why is it that different options install with same Unity 2021 download? I cannot find an answer anywhere.
I’m trying to make a guide on the installation but seems difficult as there’s no consistency on the installations.
Is Visual Studio meant to automatically install with Unity 2021 or not?

It will be installed only if you select it when adding a new version from the Unity Hub

Not true. It will be installed unless you unselect it each time you add a new version or addon from the Unity Hub. I wonder what the kickback is from Microsoft.

I can confirm that Hub will always auto-select Visual Studio if you dont have it downloaded. Super annoying.
