Is VR ray tracing using DirectX Ray tracing possible in Unity?

Hi!

I have checked that Unity VR is still using the DirectX 11 pipeline, and haven’t been upgraded. On the other hand, the DirectX Ray tracing is on top of DirectX 12 pipeline. So, if I want to develop a scene with ray tracing, probably the only solution is using HDRP (I am not sure about this), but the HDRP does not support VR also.

Now my question is, if I want to develop a scene with ray/path tracing for my HTC Vive Pro Eye, what would be the solution in Unity?

Sadly ray tracing does not work atm. They saod they were working on it

Can you be a bit more clear? I did not understand the ATM actually, why this is important?

Atm means at this moment. They are working on it but it doesn’t support it yet

Unity not supporting XR in dx12 is quickly becoming a problem.

You are right @Kevin-VFX , even unreal engine not supporting that. The only option building own rendering engine with apis, eg., DX12/VKR/optiX
