Hello, I´m a newbie of Unity3d. I watched two different video clips where the basics of Unity3d are shown.
The problem: When I open the program, I can´t see the island demo. Am I doing anything wrong? Or can I open it afterwards?

The first time you run Unity it should’ve opened the Island Demo. If it didn’t I guess that’s a bug.
Regardless, you can open it up by going to “File/Open Project…”
On Mac it’s in"/Users/Shared/Unity/"
On Windows it in “/My Documents/Unity Projects/”
OK, I found a solution for my problem on my own. It´s not really a bug, but a Windows 7 specific problem. You have to start Unity in the Administrator mode.
