this is my first time with unity, open til now i used blender for 3d rendering.
i just installed the application and want to use the island demo but i cant find it,
does it pre-load? did i not install it?
please help.
The island demo used to come bundled with version 2.x or Unity, I think. Since Unity 5.x is currently in beta, you’re a little bit behind the times… 
You can still download the old project from https://unity3d.com/showcase/live-demos#tropical-paradise , but it will require upgrading, and certainly won’t demonstrate any of the features that have been introduced over the last couple of years.
You’d be better off downloading one of the more recent Unity sample projects from the Asset Store - say, AngryBots or Stealth : Unity Asset Store - The Best Assets for Game Making
