It worked several times, then I wanted to start a new blank project so I selected new project. After messing around with cubes and stuff, I closed down Unity. Took a few hours break. Came back ran unity and opened up the island project and just blue screen. The heirarchy is empty except main camera. I used add remove programs to uninstall Uniyt. I manually deleted the unity folder and the unity folder in documents setting and reinstalled the entire program. Island Demo still does not work.
If you opened the project using the File > Open Project command, then the project will have probably been opened with a new scene. The effect you would get is an empty scene, but all the assets are still in the Project panel. Try double-clicking on the name of the main scene in the project to open it.
Yes, I finially figured that out, but thanks for the help.
I’ve found a work around solution for this bug,
Use the ‘terrain’ mass tree option to add a number of tree’s to your scene. You can then remove tress you don’t want by mousing over with shift pressed.
Also after I’d added mass trees I found I was able to add individual trees using the place tree option.
