How do you go about attaching this to a 3rd person controller?

Can you give me a few more details? I’m not sure what you mean. Do you want to make it follow a third person controller?

yes, tried to attach it to the 3rd person controller and it seemed to go all wonky, maybe I was doing it wrong.
thanks

I’m also trying to do this, i.e. have the camera follow a character (think Diablo II). I’m assuming you do something like attach it to the container that your character is in, but then you need to deal with suppressing camera rotation. I’d love an answer to this.

Import the Scripts package, select the target object and then choose Component → Camera Control → Smooth Follow. Give it your character as the target.

Hope that works for you. Sorry for not checking the thread recently.

Is there a way to be ale to have this work on IOS and android via touch and drag onscreen? Is there a way to have it attach itself to a character, or even better, touch on a random character or npc on screen and have it follow that character?

Example:

4 npc’s on screen, click on background and it locks to background allowing for touch move on screen

click on 1 NPC and camera auto targets that npc and moves with it, clicks on 2, or 3rd ext… then you can clock on background again to stop tracking any moving npc?
