Issue Tracker Spam

I was not sure where to post this so I’ll just put it here.

You might want to consider adding a “flag comment” to the issue Tracker. It seems spammers are using it. See for example comment by Mornemorkel on Unity Issue Tracker - [iOS] Apple throws Deprecated API Usage warning for using UIWebView when submitting Builds to the App Store Connect

Yeah just came here to also report a ton of spam on most issues.

As you can see on that issue out of 5 comments, 2 are spam, with 1 leading to a potentially malicious website (the dating website one).

Would be good to add a report button to this and to the blog comments. Its annoying that we as users are able to identify them easily but have no easy way of reporting them. Adding this to both sections would clean this up massively.

Unfortunately, the spam isn’t stopping in the issuetracker and one might say it’s more of a spamtracker already:

Looks like they added a safety, as I can see above the post form:

But it wasn’t applied retroactively, and it should be. At least run a filter and have a human pass on all posts with unverified URLs. To reduce work, for each new domain, either whitelist or blacklist it. Then after a few new domains registers, re-run the filter. Repeat.
