I switched from Photoshop CS6 to CC and have a problem with exporting PSD-files.
When I have more than one layer the texture appears as complete white in Unity and in 3dsmax.
When I collapse all layers the texture is fine.
It happens in Unity and in 3dsmax so I assume it´s a Photoshop issue but I don´t find a solution.
I went from CS6 to CC when it first came out, and haven’t seen that happen. I do enable the backwards compatibility checkbox; that’s the only thing I can think of.
It’s worth asking in the Adobe support forums, they can have a decent turnaround on issues like this.
I normally just use TIF (they retain psd features and compress well), which may keep you working until you resolve the psd issue.
Yes. Enable Photoshop backwards compatibility works.
How to:
In Photoshop CC, Choose Edit > Preferences > File Handling (Windows) or Photoshop > Preferences > File Handling (Mac OS). From the Maximize PSD and PSB File Compatibility menu, choose “Always”.
With this configuration Photoshop saves a composite (flattened) image along with the layers of your document.
