Recently it’s became really difficult to me to download packages from the asset store.
Downloads do not start, download really slowly, or fail. Sometime it just works as usual. I’ve checked that it is not an issue on my side. Ut 5.4.3p4 if relevant.
Hey, it seems you are not the only one. Could you provide me with the exact packages/URLs that caused the halting? I can ping the AS dev team and they can have a look.
@SaraCecilia I recall the problem happened with ‘Infinigrass’, ‘Hx Volumetric Lighting’ and i guess ‘Aquas River Set’, but i also had the problem with various small or large packages, not sure wich ones.
We’ve seen download issues with the Aquas River Set in the past. I’ve pinged the AS devs now to see what was causing the problem for that, and also let them know about the other two packages.
Reviving this necro thread for this! Damnit Unity, please stop using the Amazon AWS for your asset store content. 50% of the time I’ll get through a large download, and it will fail. AWS is notoriious for failiing on large downloads, and does not resume, instead starting over completely. I’m on metered bandwidth, so I’ve wasted hundreds of gigabtyes of data to restart downloads on packs. Every gigabtye costs me about 30 cents, so it’s adding up quickly.
