Issues with Speedtree trees in Unity

Hi all.

First things first, I am using Speedtree for Unity 8.4.2 and Unity 2019.3.14f1 on a Windows OS.

On Speedtree, when I make a tree without any leaves etc - just the bare tree and import it into Unity, I have no problems. But, as soon as I add leaves to the tree and I import it into Unity, then under remappable materials I do not get a separate material option for the tree and leaves, but just one universal material option for just the bark - so when applying the material, both the tree and the leaves have the same texture. I also reached out to Speedtree support. It may be something small I am doing wrong, as I am new to Speedtree, but it’s a bit frustrating. I have tried exporting it with and without textures assigned in Speedtree, and even with different LOD settings, but to no avail. I have attached a screenshot of the issue.

If anyone can assist me, that would be great. Thanks in advance!

Edit: This is what I want - different remappable materials for the tree and leaves

Hi @MayhemInc did you figure out the issue you were having or were you helped on SpeedTree support? I’d love to try to help troubleshoot if not: could you tell me what render mode you’re using? (HDRP, URP, etc) Could you also share your export settings from the SpeedTree modeler?

Hi @KatLeeHong - thank you for replying! Actually, the SpeedTree support turned out a bust…they apparantly do not understand what problem I am having. I am currently away from my PC, but when I get back to it, I’ll tell you my export setting etc etc. Thank you for being willing to help!
