Not entirely sure on this, but I think you are allowed.
But why would you? Those Betas are, as the name says, Betas and so they tend to have bugs. You shouldn’t use it for production, only for testing.
I’m with @Mauri on this: I think you can, but it’s completely irresponsible.
Those are betas. They are expected to be unstable. If it’s a free game, whatever, but if it’s not, that’s just plain wrong.
We’ve got no problem with it, but as others are saying, it’s a beta, so be careful. If you’re satisfied that the quality of what you’d be releasing is good enough, then go ahead.
If you have had a full QA pass on lots of different devices then go for it. But remember the beta is untested in the market space and there may be many devices that still have issues or edge cases that have not been detected yet.
You’re better off going for a more stable release of Unity.
I mostly release on betas to the wild. www.dogfightelite.com (using b16 on there)
That’s my way of finding bugs on the mass market. Sometimes it hurts, sometimes it’s great. Obviously if I know of a serious bug before hand, I won’t release with the existing beta.
