JAS in Windows

Our University has mixed labs. SOme are Mac some are Windows. Is there a plugin (or something) that will let us use JAS files (Cheetah3D on Mac) on a Windows Unity. Other formats seem to be having problems keeping IK information when exported from Cheetah3D.

Good luck with that. Hope you find a solution. If you do share!
Max and Maya IK solutions don’t even transfer between each other.
FK bone hierarchies can transfer but I have yet to see a intact IK solution transfer from one animation package to another.

I’d suggest rigging and animating in 1 software package only. Best solution I’ve found.

The problem is that each 3d tools have their own IK constraint which cannot be exported to other tools, so most 3D exchanging file format doesn’t support custom constraint.

From their website they claim that they do support FBX

You could export all your scene to fbx and use those file either on mac or windows.

But still you would need to bake your animation if you are using Cheetad3d IK
