(Java) Particle systems (Shuriken) emittion script problem

Anyone knows how to change the emission rate of particles in a script for the particle systems (Shuriken)?
I looked at the reference and got this “var emissionRate : float” edited my script to this “rain emissionRate : 680”
but it doesn’t seem to work, maybe I’m doing it wrong.

GetComponent.<ParticleSystem>(rain).emissionRate = 680;

rain emissionRate : 680 what is that, json? This isn’t really Java or Javascript, it’s UnityScript. use the equals = sign

GetComponent.().emissionRate = 680; // which is a very high number for this
