Javascript or C#

I have been going throu tutorials that are C# and converting to javascript then came across needing a list looking up I read that java is not type-safe when using a array. my questions are this what does that mean and should I be teaching myself C# over javascript? first person shooters are what im working on atm.

There are thousands of discussions out there on this topic, but type-safety doesn’t mean you should or should not choose a language. It’s simply one aspect of the language. That said, javascript is a very dynamic language, which makes it easy to use, but also much easier to mis-use. For that reason, I’d recommend C# to start.

Also, since the tutorial is written in C#, why go through the extra step/work of converting it to javascript? If you really want a taste of both languages, I’d finish your C# tutorial and then try one out in javascript. You’ll learn a lot about both languages, and Unity, doing it that way.

Good luck!
