Jetcat- A cat on a skateboard strapped to a rocket. For Android.

Well, time for my first ever game announcement thingy. I present to you the wonderful JetCat!

Ever wondered what a cat would do strapped to a rocket, flying over the ocean? Of course you have. The meeeeeeeeeeow of it as it flew away from you. How hilarious.

Ever wondered what a cat would do on a skateboard? Frozen, rolling at break-neck speeds down a long mountain path, while you cackle heartily, like the wicked witch of the west?

Wonder what would happen if you combined the two? Of course you do.

Jetcat is a simple arcade game for Android. And this is where I’ll post my progress so far!

So, you ask, what have you done already?

  • Well, I have all the main mechanics in the game. I also have all of the modelling done, and the scoring.

What needs to be done?

  • The menus, and a few more GUI effects.
  • A bit of all-round polish.
  • Fixing the last few bugs.
  • Creating an array of levels to play.

Finally you use the tiger! Looking good Fishman.

Goodluck
Khelton

Thanks, man!

need better cat model imo, maybe one that’s screaming and eyes wide open with fear! Oh god I feel bad already… why make such a cruel game lol?

Here’s today’s progress- the level cleared screen. Obviously, it’s unfinished, there’s no 3-star system or buttons either, but that’s what’s going to appear.

Also, the charge bar now uses a Mathf.PingPong to bring in a timing element to each level.

Looken good Fish!
I have always wondered what a cat would do strapped to a rocket flying over the ocean. Finally, a answer will be reveled with your game

Keep up the good work. Im sure it will be great.

Thanks!

Sorry for the huge images, here’s the latest stuff from today. Tomorrow is high scores and menu screen!

Eehhe, ever since I saw that weird cat model I was waiting for the day you make the thread for the game
I think you’re quite shortselling the environment, though
The cat has that superpolished look and you showed some very entertaining pieces lately, that it’s hard for me to believe that you did your absolute best to make the backgrounds and menus as polished as the cat model
Give a little love and this will shine !

Sure thing. I’m thinking of adding some extra scenery into it just to make it look nice.

'cuz it’s funny.

Edited above post to get the images that didn’t work in there.

What sort of things should I add into the sea to jazz up the environment?
