Thanks,

I used code : MHLF737J4XK3

I’ll pop up a review a bit later when I’ve had chance to play

Tony

Im a bit hesitant to leave a review on the app store - due to your game crashing.

Overall, the game is… ‘OK’… not great - but I think a few simple things could improve it!

The ship doesn’t feel like its floating enough, and sliding/hovering a bit more could help - perhaps even rotating the ship a bit more on left and right turns would make it feel a bit more like a space ship. Anyhow - at the moment, its movement feels too rigid.

The game crashes(freezes) on the part where you get to upgrade your ship or continue to the next level.

If you introduced some particle misiles then it would improve gameplay and inmo feel a bit more interesting.

As it stands, its not really exciting enough.

Although saying all that - I did like it - and I love the wipeout genre!

Perhaps you published this a little too early.

Thanks for your comments. I’ll look into the crashing… I havn’t had any crashreports so far though, what kind of Mac do you have?

Can only agree on your other points… as a solo developer I’ve settled for ‘OK’. But I’ll get to great some day

Thanks,
Yorick

I’m running a macbook pro with OSX 10.6.6 on a dual core 2.53Ghz Core i5 with 4gb Ram.

I was running the game in window mode when it kept freezing.

Must say though - the game really improves the immersion factor when running full screen!

all codes have already been used

Just purchased a copy - this is fantastic! Reminds me of f-zero… only much better. Thanks for this!

Thanks man, glad you are enjoying the game!

COngrats on releasing on the Mac Store Yorick. Is it the same version from musegames? or have you been busy making levels again?

Same version as musegames right now… I just wanted to get it up as soon as possible.

Working on some new stuff though!

Erm, not to be cynical…but I doubt this could be as amazing as F-Zero GX, the highest rated F-Zero out there that is extremely polished.

Excellent game - fast, exciting, and difficult. I especially love the 80s music. F-Zero Gx is nice but this game takes up less space, uses less memory, and is cheaper - ideal factors for the casual gamer.

Some thoughts for improvement:
-some more similar music tracks
-some more ships/cars whatever they are to choose from
-opponents that you can crash into
-the option to have more than one opponent
-damage to the ship to enhance the realism of the play
-wouldn’t it be neat to have level where the tracks themselves actually move?

I realize these factors would definitely increase the size and the memory usage, but these are the things people like. Anyways, good work Yorick!
